My Story ~ Jen Collinsworth, M.D.
Chief Resident 2024/2025
My name is Jen Collinsworth and I am super excited to be one of the chiefs this year! I was born in California and moved to South Carolina in high school before attending Clemson University for undergrad. I then took two years off and lived in Greenville, SC, working as a medical scribe and a part-time nanny. I loved Greenville and stayed there for medical school at the University of South Carolina School of Medicine.
My husband Sam (anesthesiology resident) and I couples matched here at Wake Forest and have loved it. Everyone is wonderful to work with and we both feel like we are getting strong clinical experience here! After chief year I plan on practicing as a general pediatrician in an outpatient clinic. When I’m not in the hospital I can be found hanging with my dog Luna and cat Nova, attending weekly trivia, exploring nearby breweries and wineries, trying new restaurants around Winston-Salem, and traveling when time allows.
